Rabbi Yisrael Avichatzira zt"la was a Moroccan-Israeli rabbi, ab beit din, and kabbalist, who was known as a miracle worker. He was born on September 26, 1889, in the city of Rissani, Morocco, to a family of kabbalist rabbis. He was appointed Rosh Yeshiva at the age of 18, and led a strict spiritual lifestyle, including many fasts and penances.

In 1951, he immigrated to the Land of Israel, where he continued to work and give many blessings and advice to his followers. Baba Sali became a role model among the Jewish community, and his tomb in Netivot became a pilgrimage site. He died on January 8, 1984, leaving behind a rich spiritual legacy.
